What is Success?
Success is something everyone strives for and understandably so.
Often, we have seen people go above and beyond to get what they want, but somehow they end up getting nothing, at least what was aimed at.
In this article, we will look into some of the reasons why they don’t get what they have in mind. We will also be discussing at length at what point they are going wrong.
What exactly is stopping them from reaching greater heights?
Below are the reasons why you are not achieving success and the key to self-awareness.
1. That laid back attitude towards your goals
Being lackadaisical towards your goal will never get you to your goal.
A goal should be thoroughly worked upon and you must have an enthusiastic mindset when working on it.
Indeed, being more than casual about it may harm the probability of success.
In addition, procrastination will become a slow poison.
2. Going after everything and not being specific about your goals
Many people run after every possible field, hoping to secure a position in one of these fields.
However, chasing multiple things simultaneously linked with your interests will only make things worse for you instead of getting you closer to your dreams.
Instead of going after literally every other stream — which is the problem with most people, it becomes important to set your heart on the thing that interests you the most.
Not only will you be able to eliminate the probability (if any) of the success or failure, you will also thoroughly enjoy your journey from scratch to achieving everything you ever dreamt of.
Furthermore, people end up following the crowd and somehow don’t realize that they will work more diligently if their goal is in their interest and of their best interest.
3. Not laying out things clearly
Without having things laid out vividly in your mind, planning things out and then working on them accordingly, you won’t be able to achieve anything.
One of the reasons why you are not succeeding is due to the fact that things getting muddled up in your mind.
Planning your goals in a way lays out the possibility of success and failure.
This way, you’ll have everything right in front of your eyes and you would know how you can go about it.
4. Not trusting yourself enough
Even if you are indulging yourself in something that doesn’t require any planning or execution, trusting yourself will play a major role.
Nothing can be accomplished if you don’t have faith in yourself.
Once you have the mindset that “Yes, I can become so and so because I trust myself that I can do it,” you’ll move a step closer to your dream.
It’s quite OK if you have a fear of failure. You must understand what is the cause of atychiphobia and overcome it.
5. Being dubious about everything
Another reason that pulls you back from your goal is having a doubtful approach to everything: being dubious about your set goals but also having some nagging doubts about yourself.
If you are constantly in doubt whether the field you have chosen is right for you or not, whether you will be able to push yourself that high or not, all these doubts contribute to you not getting anywhere around your goals.
By now, you must have already figured out how being dubious and not having faith in yourself are closely linked.
6. Being hard on yourself and not giving yourself a rest
No matter how hard you are on yourself, if the set goals aren’t meant to be, they just won’t happen.
Part of the reason behind your unsuccessful attempts is you knocking yourself out and not giving yourself enough rest that your mind and body require.
Your subconscious is stronger than any obstacles but you must learn how to calibrate your subconscious.
7. Pulling excuses
This deserves to have a whole point dedicated to it.
One of the major reasons why you constantly fail is making excuses.
Blaming others for your failure and not getting an inch closer to your goal need to be dropped out of your habits.
“Excuses will always be there for you. Opportunity won’t.”
8. Not getting out of your comfort zone
Another reason your goal isn’t achieved could be your unwillingness to get out of your comfort zone.
Dreams require efforts, risks, and adapting to an environment that doesn’t suit your taste.
One just cannot achieve something while being in their comfort zone and letting the zone expand beyond their goals.
Top 3 Apps that will motivate you to achieve success
These were some of the reasons that could be stopping you from moving closer to your goals.
Now one thing that might cross your mind is how you can go about your goals and rule out the possibility of failure even though one can never obviate the chances of failure.
Here are 3 apps to achieve your goals and overcome your fear of failure.

Working from home has become the norm in the last few weeks, and has allowed companies to remain competitive and productive.
Employees can now get work done, tend to personal obligations and spend more time with their families.
That being said, leaders have to maintain their objectives and keep an eye on their teams.
Wondering how to help establish remote working and lead your team from afar?
There are amazing benefits to having remote workers: you save money and office space, workers save time and energy from the commute.
It will certainly improve employee engagement and boost morale.
There are different ways that you can help establish remote working.
1. Make a general assessment
Each company has unique needs. Therefore, you first need to assess the needs and the equipments of your company.
Secondly, you need to assess the position and responsibility of the employee. The position needs to be suited for remote work. You may want to understand with whom they confer with, how long they work and what do they need to get work done.
2. Get to know your team
Should all employees be allowed to work remotely?
To allow employees to work from home, you have to know how well they produce work and how serious, disciplined, mature and autonomous they are.
Some employees may be new to the company, may need a lot of supervision, may have difficulty communicating from a distance or may not know how to balance their work and life.
You can put remote under a trial period to test their ability to produce quality work remotely.
3. Make sure you trust your team
Before sending them out to work remotely, you must be able to trust your team and know that they will be pulling their weight.
Remote workers are not that hard to supervise but it all depends on your level of trust.
4. Invest in new technology
In order for you to keep up with your remote team, you may need to invest in digital workspaces.
These workspaces will allow you to schedule meetings, share documents, set deadlines, give instructions, train your team, communicate securely with your team and track their individual progress.
5. Clarify goals
Information can easily get lost when you are working remotely.
It becomes important for you to clarify your objectives and ensure that your team understands what needs to be done.
This will make it easier for them to stay on task, for you to track their progress and to address any issues.
6. Create a structure around your team
Let your team know at what time and for which activities they need to be available.
Working from home provides great flexibility but remote workers may have to also obey a code of conduct, a dress code and fixed hours to keep them engaged and far from burning out.
7. Plan in person meetups
Remote workers can get lonely and lose touch with their organization.
They will even have more difficulty keeping up and communicating with your team in the office.
Therefore, it becomes detrimental to make yourself available to them, keep them in the loop, encourage communication and include them in meetings and all meetups.
8. Deal with the legal aspects
You have to make sure that your team agrees with requirements and conditions of working from home.
Their information and data must be protected and they have to be safe, insured and properly equipped.
9. Equip your team
Your team may need a computer, a dedicated office space, a better and protected internet connection.
Overall, keep in mind that working remotely reduces the cost of operation.
Last Words Of Advice!
Productivity and work life balance have somewhat improved thanks to remote working. Employees are more and more looking for companies that can provide them with enough telecommuting.
However, just like working in a cubicle, remote working is not made for everybody and should not be imposed.
Some people enjoy human contact and others may want a better work-life balance but may suffer the consequences of working alone.
Hope that I’ve helped you get it together on your way to leadership!

Technology in the workplace can do a lot to save you time, effort and mental bandwidth, and these five services are no exception…
No matter which type of work environment you find yourself in, technology can bring a ton of value to your work day.
It could be for time management, personal finances, workforce management, or maybe just something to help your personal workflow, technology can help make many aspects of work easier.
These five technologies are no exception, and are worth looking into.
1. The Mayo App
Mayo is a mobile application that allows users to ‘ask for help’ from the people in their immediate area- be it a coffee shop, store, library, etc.
Using a no-sign-in-required model, Mayo discourages the social ‘connectivity’ aspect that is traditional in most social platforms and instead focuses on connecting people in the real world for the purpose of solving tasks at hand.
Mayo’s founder Allen Chan is integrating this application into the professional co-working and university environments for helping people solve business problems and school related tasks, respectively.
If you work remotely or find yourself in a population-dense area, Mayo can help you with everything from brainstorming business solutions to borrowing a MacBook charger.
Because the Mayo app is relatively new, there is a lot of opportunity to get early-adopter value from the application.
2. All About PDF
PDFs are the cornerstone of digital documentation in the workplace.
It’s a format that is widely accepted and maintained for professionalism purposes, but for the most part, PDFs are stagnant and can pose a lot of hassle when in a time crunch.
Have you ever received a PDF and realized you have to make changes to it? Not an easy task to accomplish.
All About PDF is a PDF management software that allows you to modify PDFs in ways previously not thought possible, all on a dime’s notice.
See the screenshot below for just some of what All About PDF can do for you in the workplace.
3. Keeper Tax
Finance management is a headache for a lot of professionals, especially those in the freelance or contract working space.
Tracking receipts, invoices, costs, expenses, from every micro transaction that occurs on a daily basis is a time management nightmare that nobody has time for.
Keeper Tax is a tool for automated expense tracking with one specific purpose- to help you to get the most accurate tax report filed with the IRS.
Keeper Tax steps in as the middle man for finance management and texts you (yes, you read that right) whenever an expense is incurred on your credit/debit card.
From there, you can tell Keeper Tax if that expense should be filed as business, personal, or other.
